Doreen Uwera is senior consultant within the International Development Advisory Services (IDAS) business unit at KPMG East Africa (Rwanda) since October 2022. Her experience ranges from providing technical support in preparation of annual financial statements for different clients, third party monitoring and evaluation for the case with USAID, KPMG Private Enterprise Advisory services which caters for startups, SME’s and family businesses.
Before joining Advisory at KPMG in 2020, she was part of Audit & Assurance teams that offered statutory audit services to clients from different sectors i.e Telecommunications, Insurance while at Deloitte Rwanda. She also supported Enabel on project audits which involved expenditure verifications and review of revenue controls of the beneficiaries. During her time there, she was also the 2019 Brand Ambassador for Deloitte Africa where she was involved in engagements that promoted awareness of the Deloitte brand and shared insights on Deloitte ImpacT.
Doreen studied Business Administration and Management with Marketing major and is currently pursuing the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (A.C.C.A) professional course offered by the United Kingdom in pursuit of becoming a chartered accountant.
