Stefan Opitz, Head of CIRCO Hub, is a logistics engineer and CSR manager with expertise in circular design projects. Over five years, he consulted extensively for SMEs across industries like hand tools, plastics, metal processing, or furniture. Since October 2023, he's leading the CIRCO Hub, supporting companies in adopting circular approaches in product design and business models. The Dutch based CIRCO methodology was awarded by the European Commission in November 2023 for its success in supporting entrepreneurship. Since 2021, around 150 manufacturing companies from NRW have participated in workshops.
Stefan holds degrees in logistics engineering and economics from the University of Duisburg Essen, DHBW, and the University of California Santa Barbara, with experience spanning national and international projects in Poland, England, Malawi, and Indonesia.
