"AGYLE is a great initiative which allows young leaders from different cultures  to learn from, share and build relationships that foster sustainable business practices. This is important because it helps you expand your knowledge and allow you to see things from another perspective.
Young leaders need strong networks of like-minded people for support, and foster sustainable business relationships. This is an important gap that AGYLE fills."

Mawuse Christina Gyisun is the co-founder of Sommalife, an agritech company that is creating transparency and traceability in the shea value chain while increasing the income of rural women shea producers in West Africa through innovative financing, market access and agroforestry.
While engaging with many rural women in the local market, she developed the vision to eradicate poverty in her region. After graduating from university, she co-founded Sommalife to make this vision possible.

With over 5 years of experience spanning community development and agricultural consultancy, she quickly developed her skills in driving rural community growth and development. Within 3 years, she led her team at Sommalife to support over 20,000 rural women farmers in Northern Ghana with access to financing, conservation resources, and international markets. Over 7,000 have seen a 22.75% increase in their income through their work. Mawuse plans to reach 1 million women farmers in West Africa by 2030, while creating jobs for youth in their communities.
